2013 Finals Ground Rules

• All contestants must wear back numbers while competing in arena - NO EXCEPTIONS  Failure to wear back number will result in $25 fine
• All timed event contestants in the performance MUST ride in the Grand Entry.  Incentive event contestants are encouraged to ride in the Grand Entry
• All Rough Stock must be “chapped up” for introductions during opening ceremonies each performance
• The winner in each event during the performance is required to take a victory lap.  A horse will be provided for Rough Stock contestants
• Order of competition at the finals:  All events excluding Barrels will be 1st day 15-1, 2nd day slowest to fastest/low score to high score.  Barrels - 1st day in drawn order, 2nd day reverse order of 1st day, will rake after every 5 in Barrels.
• Inc. Calf Roping, Open Calf Roping & Breakaway 1 loop only.
• #12 Team Roping - 3 loops allowed - no swapping ends.  Open Team Roping - 2 loops only
• Rough Stock contestants must be over their drawn stock when previous contestant leaves the chute
• GCPRA dress code rule will be strictly enforced-this means collared long sleeved shirts (no pullovers) per rule book
• All contestants must be ready to compete when called

***Rodeo Grounds Information***

• Arena will be closed 2 hours prior to start of each performance
• A warm up arena will be available all weekend for all contestants
• All horses must be stalled.  No tie ups, no portable pens, no exceptions
• St. Lukes/GCPRA Sports Medicine Team onsite all weekend
• Very limited trailer plug in’s

Please note; There fill be fireworks and pyrotechnics during the Opening Ceremonies / National Anthem.
